When William and Kate arrived to open the
Calgary Stampede, it reminded me very much of my
grandparents who were born and raised in the prairie
land and province of Alberta. Calgary is its largest
city. While, Edmonton is Alberta's state capital.

I have spent some time there and in the prairie, but not
enough time to truly satisfy my long yearning to return
to Canada's Alberta for a good visit again one day.
My grandparents of Scottish-Canadian blood, have
passed away of many years ago now. But the time I
spent at Calgary and at the prairie with them I shall
always remember with deep fondness and longing.

Cowboy Duke & Cowgirl Duchess At Calgary.

So to see and read all about the royal visit of the Cow-
boy Duke and his Cowgirl Duchess was a delight for me
and, of course, for many of the local Alberta cowboyz
and cowgirlz, too. Canada's Prime Minister Stephen
Harper did also declare that the visit of William &
Kate to Canada was more fabulous than even the 'Fab
Four' in the form of The Beatles' sensational visit to
Canada in 1964. Stephen, I think you're darn well
right! Or pretty near there ... They're also such a
decent royal couple, they are. Let's hope it stays
exactly that way.

Prince William himself aptly remarked that his
[great]grandmother - the late dear and dignified Queen
Elizabeth the Queen Mother - had said that her visit
with her kingly husband George VI to Canada "had
made them" back some 70+ years ago. Well, it seems
Canada has now just done the very same for our down
to earth William & Kate. My grandparents would
have loved them, too. So there we are
O Canada. Bravo!.

Queen Elizbeth the Queen Mother
of England is the late Great-Grandmother, not grandmother, of Prince William. His grandmother
is the present Queen Elizabeth
II. His dear mother, of course, was the late Princess Diana of Wales. Cordially, Stanley Hubert,

I might add that the visit of him and the young duchess came off with
flying colors. They were almost as sweet as maple syrup.
