Right now, I'm still on the campaign road with
the British National Party (BNP) for its "Days of
Action" at London's Becontree in the poor Borough
of Barking & Dagenham that aims to bring about the
unseating of New Labour's Member of Parliament
Margaret Hodge by electing BNP Leader Nick Griffin at
her hopeful demise and loss on May 6th. He is already
a Member of the European Parliament (MEP) is Nick
Griffin. If elected at this 2010 General Election that is
now underway, he would then become the first BNP
candidate to ever be elected to the glittering prize
of a parliamentary seat inside the
British House of Commons.

***
A glorious day of bright sunshine greeted all the
BNP supporters and canvassers as Nick Griffin
himself arrived looking all fresh and bright with his
nice wife Jackie at his campaign side. They stood to-
gether for group photo ops with party officials and
members (shown below) at Becontree's Parsloes
Park at where today's robust campaign events
all began by-midday.

I also did something for the first time in my life today
by going canvassing door-to-door with BNP ardent
members Richard from Guildford and Chris from
Enfield as we knocked on doors, met the local folkz,
and delivered campaign literature to perhaps 200+
homes at Dagenham's Cornworthy and Lilliechurch
Roads. I was about to gain some new insight into the
English political process that I had not hitherto
experienced before. Richard and Chris were just
superb guyz well worth encountering for the first
time. Richard was a car salesman until made
redundent. While Chris now works at parking
enforcement. They have known each other for 30
years since they were in their teens, so I learned.

***
Aside from all the political hoopla attendent in all election
campaigns, the real Nitty-gritty is going from door-to-door
to canvass for the votes of the electorate. Such soon brings the
canvasser right down to earth as various reactions come from
those voters ranging from outright rejection and contempt
of the BNP to those who almost jump for sheer joy at the
arrival of BNP canvassers at the own front door.
***
I wanted to canvass so that I could write about the BNP from
the street and neighbourhhood level and away from all the
negative media frenzy that always seems to accompany the
BNP no matter what. Thanks to Richard and Chris, I was able
to experience upfront for the first time what goes into street
canvassing and knocking on cold doors. It wasn’t, of course, all
sunshine and a bed of roses by far, which I soon found out at
getting one door unceremoniously and quickly slammed in
my face and being told more or less to "fuck offffffffffffff."
Such then is also a good hands-on "Reality Check" for any
political party no matter its particular persuasion, colourful
idealogy and/or set stripe. So after no more than nine or
ten doors I had knocked, I soon found angry people
who offered no greeting or welcome at their door.
***
After canvassing at Deganham for a couple of hours with
Richard and Chris, I put together a rough picture of what I
saw and heard from the residents there at Cornworthy
and Lillechurch Road. Here's what I roughly found:

Six or seven said they would definitely vote BNP and of that
four said that had previously voted for the party. Sixteen or
so said they had not made up their minds on who they would
vote for. In other words, they were clearly undecided voters.
Ten or so stated that were "considering" voting for the BNP,
but had not yet firmly committed to do so on voting day.
Twelve or so said they would definately NOT vote for the BNP.
Another ten or so said they were undecided who they would
vote for no matter what party canvassed them. Of all the
doors I knocked – about fifty of them – I found them to be
primarily blue collar or middle class white home owners.
At three doors, I saw black or immigrant tenants who then
seemed to cringe at seeing the BNP right on their doorstep
or instantly shied away completely from even muttering
a word on opening the door or as they looked thru their
windows at me or Richard or Chris.
***
Elderly white women at Barking seemed more favourable to
vote for the BNP from what I saw and heard. And, young
working class white guyz - age twentysomething - seemed
even more favourable than those elderly womenfolk. I was
surprised, however, at the number of English male retirees
who seemed to be rather unsettled or ambivalent toward the
BNP, despite living in the heart of anti-immigration Barking
and Dagenham. Whatever, my picture here is only a very
rough one and is in no way intended to be a formal or acad-
emic poll nor to give a full and true picture that represents
the BNP voter profile. Anybody who says otherwise, is
clearly stupid and dishonest - frankly!
***
All of what I found as I went door-to-door at Barking
& Dagenham was to realise that the centrepiece of the
steady rise of the BNP in the UK stems from the street
I actually canvassed. And the political growth of the BNP
is due to New Labour's continuing treacherous mass
immigration agenda that has now seen the creation
of a multiethnic, multicultural and multiracial pigsty
and rat hole all across our once so pleasant and
deeply historic kingdom of Great Britain.

After stringing us all along for all too long, New
Labour's Gordon Brown finally called the British
General Election for May 6th, 2010. The formal
"Dissolution of Parliament" by the Queen of England
will come about on Monday, April 12th, 2010.
***
And ever since it gained power in 1997, New Labour's
non-stop propensity to pass thousands of new criminal
laws to help criminalise the British People was seen yet
again today by its rushed passing of The Digital Economy
before Labour is forced to abandon any more of its
outrageous law making led by such ilk as the leftist
radical and deputy Labour leader Harriet Harman
before parliament is dissolved in four days time.
Hopefully, the passing of such a "gangster-like"
bill will now result in the loss of thousands upon
thousands of more votes against New Labour's
attempt to gain an unprecedented fourth term
in office in the UK.
***
Between now and Election Day, I shall offer my own
independent stories, commentary, and opinions on the
situation surrounding the news events and the prime
political party personalities and electoral isssues
leading upto voting day inside "Broken Britain."

Not in any particular chronological order, I list
herein the story titles that I hope to present, with-
out fear or favour, to my world blog readership
on the British General Election.

My election stories then will start quite soon.
Please lookout for them! Hope, too, to have your
candid and honest feedback on this election that
will impact the future of "Broken Britain" either
for better or for worse as a nation. At no time will
I tell you, my reader, who you should vote for.
That's upto the individual no matter what, al-
though I will urge that you vote. Not voting is
a vote lost. Your vote could be the vote that

Ideal Home Show or Glorified Street Market? By Uncle Monty.

Ideal Home Show or Glorified Street Market?
By Uncle Monty.
IHS Photos By Alex Albion.
---
Sixteen past continuous days has now seen the 2010
Ideal Home Show at London’s Earl Court come finally
to a close today, on this Easter Monday.
---
At tickets priced from £11.00 and up, more than 250,000
paying folkz have now visited the biggest home show in
the UK. I was there, too. It was also the 102nd show to
date. It was my first visit to such a show and it’ll
most certainly be my last!
---
Inside The UK's 2010 Ideal Home Show.
---
Elbow to elbow at times, the crowd inside the fancy show was like
cattle being driven by prodding cattle ranchers from one display
to another or from one hawker to another or from one booth to
another. The visual and mental overload of trying to take in all
the stuff on sale or on display was too much. One just had to
block out alot of it just to absorb what was sensible to one’s
attention span and level of absorption.
---
Ideal Beauty! Yes, my dear!
---
For rubberneckers and those into seeing lots of
nice womenfolk at the show, it was fun for sure for
guyz like me. But other than that, I began to wonder if
the Ideal Home Show was really little more than a London
glorified street market - like Petticoat Lane, Portobello
Road or East Street - at where crowds pack the place and
every kind of market vendor is trying to flog something
to you to buy.
---
What The Hell Are You Laughing At?
---
Take a step in whatever direction one wanted to go at
the show and there you’d see another "parrot" demand-
ing one’s attention or your money to buy their fancy crap
that was grossly over priced and of little use, I suspect,
to anybody once they got it home after the show.
---
A good example of that was on the second level of the 2010 Ideal
Home Show that saw one smartass, in his early 20’s and thin as a
bone, doing his demo to sell $400.00 food blenders that shouldn’t
have been more than 100 quid at most. Pulling every trick in the
book and talking faster than a ferret, the bloke was a master of
sales tricks and practiced deceit that saw some stupid people
actually fall for his con and paying out their 400 quid like
mesmerized zombies.
---
I watch him at work standing almost at the back of him
and saw the tricks he pulled that those at the front could
not see him do. He would drop one thing in a bucket and
then produce it like a miracle all dry and nice from a
hidden shelve as if it was the same blender he's just
showed. “To be honest with you, I wouldn’t lie to you,”
he repeatedly said bare face as he lied without a wince
on his cunning face. “So good is this product, we give you
a 5 year guarantee with our seal of approval," he declared
knowing probably that few, if any such buyers,
would ever come back before the 5 years was up.
---
It's My First Bath With My Clothes Still On!
---
The more I explored the 2010 Ideal Home Show, the
more I was convinced it was little more than a glorified
street market except for having to pay an entrence fee
to get inside.
---
"Can I Help?," She Asked.
"Most Certainly You Can," I Replied!
---
If your taste and wallet is into expensive ocean water
things like yachts and luxury boats, then Sunseeker
Boats at the Ideal Home Show may be just the thing for
you starting at around £700,000 (or $1.2 million) for a
pretty seaworthy thing that does absolutely nothing for
me personally. Last year, I went yacht sailing with some
of Contessa Maria’s well-to-do friends in Italy and I
enjoyed it thoroughly. But my desire to own such is the
last thing I’d want or any kind of boat ownership. Even
when I saw upfront Mircosoft’s Bill Gates at New Orleans
with his fancy $6 million yacht or big boat fitted with heli-
copter landing pads, I was unimpresed by it. Whatever,
even seeing such luxury boats for sale at London's Earl
Court, I still felt the whole 5-6 hour experience there
was more like a glorified street market than a so-
called home show ...
---
Show Yellow, Too!
---
Ah, I agree that most street markets don't have
bomb-sniffing dogs running about like I saw at
London's 2010 Ideal Home Show. Yes, I also agree
that at regular street markets it would be nigh
impossible to find a £700,000 new boat for sale.
But once you forget those exceptions, the show I
saw was little more than a glorified street market.
So there we are ...

Happy Easter, I say again, Uncle Monty.

The Killing of Eugène Terre'Blanche In
Black South Africa. By Uncle Monty.
.
More 3,000 white South Africans have been
killed or murdered by native blacks since Nelson
Mandela become the country's first black president.
.
So the killing of the white, right-wing, Afrikaner leader
Eugène Terre'Blanche, 69, inside his own home by two local
blacks two days ago, has now sparked real fears of renewed
and open racial strife inside Black South Africa. He was the
leader of The AWB (Afrikaner Weerstandsbeweging or
Afrikaner Resistance Movement.) He called and wanted
for a white homeland for those whites under constant
threat of crime and violence from South Africa's mass of
blacks who have not fared well even under the hope and
promise of the black-controlled goverment at Pretoria
after the end of apartheid.
.
With just weeks away from the World Cup 2010, South
Africa cannot afford to have further violence of any kind
that seems to be the hallmark of modern South Africa
in which more than 600 cops have been killed of late.
.
Eugène Terre'Blanche's vicious killing took place at his
white farm over what reports say was a wage dispute
with two of his blacks workers, with one only 16 years
of age, who literally hacked him to death inside his
bedroom at where he was asleep. The farm is not
terribly far from the crime-ridden and dangerous
street of Johannesburg at where I myself was robbed
in broad daylight by five criminal blacks who accosted
me on Brea Street and robbed me blind and then threw
me on the sidewalk like I was a rag doll. I had only been
in Joburg less than 4 hours! The South African Police
Service (SAP) was of no help in finding and prosecuting
such brazen street robbers who did their thing right in
front of hundreds of people watching the crime take place
and did nothing to help me because I suspect I was white
and a visiting tourist. Joburg - called South Africa's New
York - is far more deadly than even New York at its worst.
.
So fearful of possible revenge by friends and loyalists
of Eugène Terre'Blanche, the wretched Jacob Zuma, the
latest black South African president, was quick to go on
TV to express his public condolence to The Terre'Blanche
Family and described the killing as "cowardly." Of the
close to 44 million blacks in South Africa, 8 million are
of white Afrikaner stock or simply called "Boers."
.
If the aftermath of the nasty killing of Eugène
Terre'Blanche isn't handled by the Zuma Government
with grave care, then the whole racial aspect of the case
could soon convulse into open street warfare and pro-
tracted revenge that would damage South Africa's
already battered black image in the world.

Your Grace, Please Shut Your Gob!
By Uncle Monty.
...
It is totally bizarre, it seems to me, for an Archbishop
of Canterbury like Rowan Douglas Williams to publicly
condemn leaders of another church. Privately condemn
the sins of child sex abuse most certainly yes, but publicly
love the sinners of such and urge their repentance without
further ado no matter if they are Catholic or Protestant
or something in between.
.
When His Anglican Grace later called to apologise to the
Archbishop of Dublin, Diarmuid Martin, for his inappropriate
outburst, had I been His Catholic Eminence I would have
refused to accept the call from Lambeth Palace and
publicly told His Grace to go to living hell.
.
As a devout Anglican, I was embarrassed by my own
archbishop for his public condemnation at Holy Week.
His religious timing, too, couldn't have been timed any
worse. When Rowan Williams, England's publicity-mad
primate, declared the Irish Catholic Church had
"no credibility" based on its handling of the sex and
physical child abuse scandal rocking Ireland's church
leaders, I think he did it for religious sensationalism that
makes him now look rather pathetic it seems to me.
.
Whatever, it also seems to me that Rowan Williams is
doing the very opposite of what we would expect of a
national Church leader. That is he should "privately
condemn." And if need be, "publicly praise." Not the
other way around at where he has publicly condemned
and has now done grave harm to those seeking to
rectify things in Catholic Eire. I have already written
on the subject of Ireland's past clerical child abuse:
.
Rowan Williams on The Irish Church.
.
All I can say at this stage to him is
"Your Grace, Please Shut Your Gob!"

Gordon Brown, New Labour's No. 1 Jackass.
"I'm A Good Samaritan," So He Says.
By Uncle Monty.
.
Tomorrow, April 6th, 2010, is believed to be the day
when New Labour's oddball leader Gordon Brown will
call upon the Queen to formally "Dissolve Parliament" for
the start of the 2010 British General Election that is be-
lieved to be finally set for May 6th. After stringing us all
along for far too long, Jackass Brown will then reveal his
political cards and off we then go to decide if New Labour
will be elected to yet another hideous five-year term of
their socialistic and communistic agenda over the
unhappy British White People.
.
A few days ago, mind you, “Gordon Brown hails
Christianity 'the conscience of our country'... and
claims (New) Labour is 'the Good Samaritan’,”
reports James Chapman.
My story "No Good Samaritan For Us" will tell of how
New Labour as only been a 'Good Samaritan' to every-
body but the true white English people over the past 12
years or so of its ignoble, abusive, and treacherous policies,
laws, and agendas. Such have now almost destroyed the
very core of everything that was once good and wholesome
of being British before the rise of the socialistic humanists
and leftist loonies that now dominate dreadful New Labour.
.
To call himself "The Good Samaritan" is truly sick when
his party has been the most anti-Christain and anti-faith
government to date while "brown-nosing" to every Muslim
now supporting the pro-Islam British Labour Party of which
jackass Brown supports just like does his vile buddy Anthony
Blair, who is to campaign again to get New Labour, he hopes,
re-elected for a fourth destructive term in office.
More soon about Brown the "Good Samaritan."

They've No Love For Islam! By Uncle Monty.

They've No Love For Islam!
By Uncle Monty.
Signature Photos & Graphics
By Alex Albion.
*
Appointing the first ethnic member of the British
National Party Rajinder Singh to the immediate task
of gathering evidence of the degree of the Islamification
of Britain, BNP chairman Nick Griffin then sent his
Special Easter Message of yesterday - Good Friday -
that was remarkable for its religiosity and almost
devoid of his usual harsh BNP speak! In fact, his
message was closer to the issue of the Identity
Church Movement than political parochiality.
*
"A special event that happened recently has changed
my outlook on our struggle and the situation facing our
sacred country," begins Nick Griffin in his Special
Easter Message. "That event was the peaceful, sensible,
mature debate with the Christian Party leader George
Hargreaves and a large number of Christian Party members.
I thoroughly enjoyed the entire debate which was noticeably
absent of the usual hysterical fanaticism of the liberal-left."
*
"It made me think long and hard about a new dimension
of our struggle: our Christian religion, culture and traditions.
In the past too much emphasis has been placed on the ethnic
aspect of our present national dilemma, whilst the longest
running feature of our identity has been overlooked: the
fact that our country has been held together and guided for
millennia by our common, ancient religion: Christianity."
*
Nick Griffin then states further:
"And before you misunderstand me, I do not mean the
gut-wrenching politically correct quasi-Marxist nonsense
spewing forth from the treacherous leaders of the modern
Anglican Church. I mean the traditional, upright, decent and
honest Christianity that defended Europe from Islamic con-
quest, the Christianity of the Crusades and the Christianity
of our forefathers."
*
"There is nothing in traditional Christianity about world
government, abolishing the nations, enslaving the world to
finance capitalism and big business, eradicating traditional
unique cultures and national identities, the promotion of
sexual perversion, the glorification of treason, letting
criminals run rampant and political correctness. No,
the Christianity of our forefathers was about honesty,
family, patriotism, sacrifice, loyalty, king and country.
For over 1,000 years Christianity held our people to-
gether and guided us through the centuries. If
Christianity had not existed Europe would have
been conquered by Islam centuries ago," stated
the leader of the BNP without any hestitation.
*
"I made the irrefutable point during the debate with the
Christian Party that the British National Party is the only
political organisation in Britain that wants to keep this
country fundamentally Christian, with Christian values,
traditions and culture. Every other political party would
happily allow Islam to engulf our Christian homeland."
*
"After the General Election, all BNP leaflets will carry a
Christian Cross to demonstrate our commitment to main-
taining and preserving our Christian heritage as a nation,"
informed Nick Griffin. "Politically correct scoundrels like
Rowan Williams (the current Archbishop of Canterbury)
will cry fowl, but we have nothing to be ashamed of as we
are the defenders of Britain's Christian heritage, just
like our Crusader ancestors in the Middle Ages."
*
Concluding his Easter Message, the BNP chairman declared:
"So this weekend enjoy the Christian festival of Easter with
pride and remember the War Heroes that fell in the many
wars to defend our homeland. Be proud of your British,
Christian identity and reject the false guilt and self-loathing
of the liberal-left political class. The darkest hour is just before
the dawn, but be of good cheer for Christ Our Lord is risen!"

Violent Clashes at Anti-Mosque Demonstration in UK.
Whatever folkz may think of Nick Griffin's Easter
Message, one thing is clear. Both him and BNP's
first ethnic member Rajinder Singh have one
thing in common despite whatever differences
they may have in their social, religious and racial
backgrounds - "They've No Love For Islam!" Nor
does my 1988 old Kentucky friend John Lenhart,
who presents herein the next report of yet again
more Muslim provocations in Europe and this time
in Espana at the renowned Mezquita Catedral
Córdoba on Holy Wendesday, 2010.

Menacing Muslims Create Cathedral Strife.
Edited By John Lenhart.

The Bishop will not allow Islamic prayer in the building.
There were disturbances outside the Córdoba Mosque on
(Holy) Wednesday when a group of 100 (Austrian) Muslims
arrived to pray together. Although still referred to as the
"Mosque," the building is now the city’s Cathedral, and in
2006 the Bishop of Córdoba rejected a request from the
Islamic community to allow Islamic prayer inside.
+
There were scuffles as the 100 people entered using tourist
tickets, and then organized themselves ‘by walkie-talkie’.
Wednesday night’s attempts to pray by the Muslim group
coincided with the passage of one of the Roman Catholic
processions, and in scuffles two arrests were made, for the
making of threats in one case, and attempted homicide in
another, as one security guard and a policeman were injured
in the clashes. The security guard then called the Guardia
Civil (National Police) to the scene.
+
The Bishop of Córodba, Monseñor Asenjo, has said allowing
Islamic worship in the Mosque would ‘generate confusion’
and lead to ‘religious indifference’. The Bishop went on to
say the Christian roots in Córdoba deserve to be respected,
and under these, the Catholics can live in peace with the
believers of other faiths. He said that Wednesday’s
events were a ‘calculated manoeuvre’.

Coming soon ... "John Duffy:
Re-Inventing Homeless Folkz."
By Uncle Monty.
.
Streetwise and sometimes stern, John Duffy doesn't
mince his words when it comes to the issues of home-
lessness. Ex-homeless and an ex-Big Issue vendor,
John Duffy was drafted by co-founder John Bird to be
his International Business Representative until he, Duffy,
later headed to Ramsgate as a vendor coordinator and
then onto Scotland's Big Issue in Glasgow a couple of
years ago, which he came to hate and has now quit
from there since Christmas to now obtain The Big
Issue franchise for Surrey that borders Greater
London.
.
By sheer chance we bumped into each other
at early yesterday morning at Covent Garden.
Although John and I have had our sharp differences,
I was pleased we came eye-to-eye at our impromptu
street chat that has improved, I think, our personal
opinion of each other for the better. As a result of that,
my story will tell of what John Duffy really wants to
do - he seeks somehow on "re-inventing homeless
folkz." More about that, too, in my planned story
on Big Issue's John Duffy before Graham Walker's
two-part series appears called "Dead Bird Walking."
Such is a devastating critique by Graham Walker
of Big Issue's editor-in-chief John Bird. I have now
edited Graham's articles for online publication. He
is also known as "The Big Issue Man" is former
street vendor Walker. He considers John Bird to
be a pure prat and old twat to say the least!

to Mother Russia's all-important Victory Day Parade at
Moscow's Red Square. And then, by the Trans-Siberian

So, we're all going on our various ways, but I am sure
we will all meet again along the highways and byways

Maundy Thursday For Confessing Anglicans. By C. F. Fry.

:: Story Update ::
Queen Hands Out Minted Coins on 'Maundy Thursday,' 2010.

Maundy Thursday For
Confessing Anglicans.
By C. F. Fry.
Maundy Notes & Editing
By Uncle Monty.
~
Triduum Sacrum - (Lat. The Sacred Three Days) -
Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, and Holy Saturday.
~
"Maundy Thursday is the Thursday before Easter
Sunday, observed by Anglicans in commemoration
of Christ's Last Supper."
~
"The name Maundy is derived from mandatum (Lat.
'commandment'), the first word of an anthem sung in the
liturgical ceremony on that day. In Roman Catholic, and
many Protestant churches, The Eucharist is celebrated
in an evening liturgy that includes Holy Communion."
~
"During the Catholic liturgy, the ceremony of the washing of
the feet, or pedilavium, is performed: the celebrant – a bishop
or a priest - washes the feet of 12 people to commemorate
Christ's washing of his disciples' feet. In England, a custom
survives of giving alms ("royal maundy money") to the poor;
this recalls an earlier practice in which the sovereign washed
the feet of the poor on Maundy Thursday. In most European
countries, the day is known as Holy Thursday."
~
"Maundy Thursday is of religious importance to (confessing)
Anglicans, along with Lutherans, Methodists, Baptists,
Church of the Brethren and Catholics."
~
"As the (vigil) and eve of the institution of the Lord's Supper,
Maundy Thursday has been kept by devout Christians from
earliest times. By the 4th century it was a feast of The
Jerusalem Church, and in the 6th century in Gaul it was
observed as Natalis Calicis ('Birthday of the Chalice')."
In medevial Britain, it was known as Chare Thursday
(from the scrubbing of the altar) and in Germany as Green
Thursday (Grundonnerstag, either from the green
vestments then worn or from grunen, "to mourn")."
~
"The day is (also) associated with Tenebrae, a ceremony
of extinguishing the altar candles in preparation for Good
Friday. (Such is) observed in the Holy Catholic Church.
Maundy Thursday ceremonies appear in Anglican,
Orthodox, Congregational, Lutheran and Reformed
Episcopal, liturgical calendars and is almost universally
celebrated with (the rites) of the Lord's Supper."

Crown him with many crowns, the Lamb upon his throne.
Hark! How the heavenly anthem drowns all music but its own.
Awake, my soul, and sing of him who died for thee, and hail
him as thy matchless King through all eternity.
~
Crown him the virgin's Son, the God incarnate born, whose
arm those crimson trophies won which now His brow adorn;
fruit of the mystic rose, as of that rose the stem; the root
whence mercy ever flows, the Babe of Bethlehem.
~
Crown him the Son of God, before the worlds began, and ye
who tread where he hath trod, crown him the Son of Man; who
every grief hath known that wrings the human breast, and
takes and bears them for His own, that all in him may rest.
~
Crown him the Lord of life, who triumphed over the grave,
and rose victorious in the strife for those he came to save.
His glories now we sing, who died, and rose on high, who
died eternal life to bring, and lives that death may die.
~
Crown him the Lord of peace, whose power a scepter sways
from pole to pole, that wars may cease, and all be prayer and
praise his reign shall know no end, and round his piercèd feet
fair flowers of paradise extend their fragrance ever sweet.
~
Crown him the Lord of love, behold his hands and side,
those wounds, yet visible above, in beauty glorified. No
angel in the sky can fully bear that sight, but downward
bends his burning eyeat mysteries so bright.
~
Crown him the Lord of Heaven, enthroned in worlds above,
crown him the King to whom is given the wondrous name
of Love.
~
Crown him with many crowns, as thrones before him fall;
Crown him, ye kings, with many crowns, for he is King of all.
~
Crown him the Lord of lords, who over all doth reign, who
once on earth, the incarnate Word, for ransomed sinners slain,
now lives in realms of light, where saints with angels sing their
songs before him day and night, their God, Redeemer, King.
~
Crown him the Lord of years, the Potentate of time, Creator
of the rolling spheres, ineffably sublime. all hail, Redeemer,
hail! For thou has died for me; thy praise and glory
shall not fail throughout eternity.

Maundy Notes By Uncle Monty.
~
As a Confessing Anglican, Maundy Thursday has
always been important to me since becoming an
adult Christain. It is part of my faith and part of
the "sacred three days" that binds Holy Week each
year with those significant religious dates in the
Anglican Church's yearly calendar.
~
What is also special about Maundy Thursday is the
fact the our reigning monarch presents royal maundy
money each year to worthy British pensioners.
In 2008, the Queen for the first time presented such
maundy money at the Church of Ireland as seen in the
above lead photo of Her Majesty and Prince Philip.
~
And while talking of the Anglican Church of Ireland, I
thought the website ukirishhistory did a good job of
presenting the ins and outs, if you will, of the historical
background behind the giving of maundy money and
the maundy service. So I decided to include a little
bit from ukirishhistory for you:
~
"The distribution of maundy money dates back to the 13th
century and the recipients were selected as a reward for their
service to the community. Until the 18th century, the money
went only to persons of the same sex as the reigning monarch,
but thereafter both equal numbers of men and women were
rewarded. With each passing year, one more penny is added
to commemorate the monarch's age. Instead of general
currency, coins were especially minted for the occasion in
four denominations - a groat, a threepence, a half groat and
a penny. They were - and still are, made of silver. The British
coins bear the original image of Queen Elizabeth II, first
minted at the time of her accession in 1953 and designed
by artist Mary Gillick."
~
"The Maundy Service is now held at different cathedrals each
year and pensioners from that locality are selected to be re-
cipients of the royal largesse. Yeomen in their traditional tudor
uniforms carry the money to the cathedral on golden alms
trays on which are a series of red and white pouches."
~
"Each recipient will receive one of each colour, in which will be the
traditional maundy coins (white purse) and some other symbolic
money (in red). In 2009 at Bury St Edmunds, a special £5 coin
was distrubuted, marking the 500th anniversary of the accession
of Henry VIII plus a 50 pence coin celebrating the founding of
Kew Gardens."
~
This year 2010 the Maundy Ceremony moves to Derby
Cathedral at where the Queen will hand out maundy money
to the value of 84 pence, being the sum of her age.

So here we are at another Holy Week. As good Christians,
I pray we will remember our Lord's Cruxification and His
Resurrection by taking personal time to mark this
Triduum Sacrum. And remember without Him in
our lives, our world would be even more of a grimmer
place to live. It is through Him then, that our lives hold
a special meaning and spiritual value that is otherwise
dead without Him. When we have "things," but not
Him, then we are hollow and empty despite all the
shopping bags, fancy clothes, greediness, full food
larders, and expensive digital gadgets, that we
surround our modern and secular lives with ...
~
I see in London so many empty people, day in and
day out, I could almost cry for them ... Yet, they gladly
go on their self-centred ways without a single thought
for their utter emptiness and Godless lives! Most
of them will do that until the very day they die
and never know or care of who was Him!!
So, pitiful are they ... aren't they?

"The Christianists" or Hutaree Christian Warriors.
FBI Goes After Christian Militia in Series of Weekend Raids.
By Mike Householder, Associated Press

~
It would take only the secularist and arrogant and
governmentally-armed-to-the-teeth FBI to make
raids and arrests of Christian folks on ironically the
eve of Holy Week!! Surely, we'd expect Muslim cops
in Iran or Islamic states to do such to Christians and
not our Yankee cops? But not so, baby, in the Good
Ole US of A of today ... No, sireeeeeeeeeee!

Renewed call made for a common Christian Easter calendar.
New York (Ecumenical News International - ENI).
The U.S National Council of Churches has renewed its call to set
a common date for the celebration of Easter, when Christians
mark the raising of Jesus from the dead. This year marks a rare
occurrence as Christians from both Orthodox and non-Orthodox
traditions will mark Easter on 4 April. A similar call for a common
date for Easter was made more than 10 years ago, when
Orthodox and non-Orthodox Christians celebrated Easter
on the same date.
~
The renewed call came in a joint letter to member churches
by the Rev. Michael Kinnamon, the NCC's general secretary,
and Antonios Kireopoulos, the NCC's director for faith and order
and interfaith relations. They said that "almost every year the
Christian community is divided over which day to proclaim this
good news. Our split, based on a dispute having to do with
ancient calendars, visibly betrays the message of recon-
ciliation. It is a scandal that surely grieves our God."
